That’s Heavyweight Glory!
The LORD God almighty has all strength and power and majesty. He is the wondrous creator who made butterflies and bees, oceans, and mountains, stars and planets and galaxies. And He made us, people in His image. The LORD is great and greatly to be praised! He is worthy of all honor, all glory, all praise!
His is a true heavyweight glory!
Have You Seen These Guys?
Without God’s Spirit flowing through me, I’m like those quaint inflatables, a weak reflection of the person He designed me to be. Without God’s life in me, I’m a deflated, helpless heap, switched off, no power.
God Gives Us the Victory!
God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. And because God gives us the victory, we, whom God is saving by His grace, should hold fast to the gospel. Though death still stings and sin still sways, we have the assurance of total victory. God will make us new. God will raise us to everlasting life with Christ. So, with God’s victory in sight, let us be people who walk that gospel out of our gatherings and into our cities. May we live with renewed zeal to proclaim the gospel. May we live with profound gratefulness to God. May we live with unwavering faith in God. May we always abound in the work of the Lord. May we always remember that in the Lord our labor is not in vain.
Treasure God’s Word
God speaks, but we may not be listening. In both our worst days and our best days, we may tune God out completely. But we don’t need to edit God’s word; we need God’s word to edit us!

A Greater Confidence
If it weren’t for a Facebook memory from this morning, I probably wouldn’t have given another thought to what was going on this time last year, what I was feeling at that time. But after reading the words I wrote that day, much of that moment came flooding back.
