Begun on January 22, 1984 by a presidential proclamation from Ronald Regan, the Sanctity of Life Sunday is typically observed on the third Sunday of January each year in churches as a way to recognize the value of life and to advocate for the unborn. Resources for local SBA churches are available from the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the SBC.

Our pastors join together either the first Monday or first Tuesday of each month to pray and to build up one another. We are meeting at Pathfinder Church on Monday, January 12.

During the SBA Annual Meeting, we’ll conduct business, voting on officers, budget, calendar, and reports. We’ll then move to a time of prayer, testimonies, worship, and preaching. Our Nevada Baptist Convention is excited to host a leadership workshop with ministry consultant Adam Erlichman, who has taught workshops at our EQUIP Nevada conferences for the last two years and has a heart for our state. We’re grateful to welcome him back to help churches across Nevada strengthen two of the most critical systems for growth and health: volunteer engagement and effective assimilation.
